terms & conditions

These Terms & Conditions form part of the Customer Guide and are incorporated into the Business Customer Contract between each Customer and Plan Communications Limited (“”).

Daily Explorer is a per-day Bolt-On that provides Customers with a predefined allowance of minutes, mobile data and texts for use when roaming in the ‘World Zone’.

For more information on what we include in the ‘World Zone’ and the ‘Regions’ that make up the World Zone, click here.

Daily Explorer includes:

  • In country calls (e.g. USA to USA)
  • Calls back to the UK (e.g. USA to UK)
  • Roaming terminated calls (e.g. calls received in the USA from the UK)
  • In-region calls (e.g. USA to Canada)

Daily Explorer does not include

  • UK to World Zone destinations – Customer must be roaming to activate the Bolt-On
  • Out of region calls (e.g. USA to China)
  • Out of World Zone calls (e.g. USA to Germany)

A Daily Explorer Bolt-On is automatically triggered (and a Daily Activation Charge incurred) when a Connection first makes a call, sends an SMS or uses mobile data to any degree anywhere in the World Zone during any calendar day.  Usage will be calculated from the first point in time that any call, SMS or mobile data usage occurs.

The Daily Activation Charge and the Daily Explorer allowances are per Connection/SIM.  Allowances cannot be shared between individual users or sharer.plan Tariff users so Customers with a sharer.plan Tariff will need to add a Daily Explorer Bolt On to each Connection/SIM that requires.

For the purposes of charging and calculating allowance application, each day begins at 12:01am UK time and ends at 12:00am UK time.

Customers may only activate the Daily Explorer Bolt On up to 14 times during any calendar month.  Customers will be notified via SMS on the 14th daily activation of the Daily Explorer Bolt-On that the Bolt-On will be removed at the end of that day and that standard out of bundle charges will be incurred for continued activity, while roaming. The Bolt-On will automatically be available for use again, from the first calendar day of the following month.

Customers accept that by adding a Daily Explorer Bolt On they will be opting out of any EU Regulations, which apply a cap on mobile data usage whilst roaming.  Currently the EU default financial limit is EUR50 per month.

If Customer usage exceeds the allowances provided under the Daily Explorer Bolt On, usage will not automatically be capped and Customer will be charged at the standard out of bundle roaming rates.


A Customer will incur Additional Charges where calls, texts or data usage (as applicable) within a day/month/billing period exceeds both (i) the relevant allowance included within the Inclusive Allowance of the Customer’s Tariff and (ii) the additional allowance provided by any Bolt-On or Data Boost that has been applied.

You can contact us to change to a different Tariff at any point during the term of your Agreement with us. We will decide which Tariff you can change to.  In certain circumstances, you may be required to enter into a new agreement with us for a Minimum Term.

Allowances and Charges quoted are all on a per Connection/per SIM basis.

All Charges in this Tariff Guide are exclusive of VAT. 

Service is subject to the general terms and conditions and other terms of your Business Customer Agreement with Plan.

We reserve the right to amend these terms, or to withdraw or amend any tariff in this Tariff Guide at any time.

If we do that, we will do it in accordance with the notice provisions set out in the General Terms and Conditions you have agreed to.
